Freya’s 12 years at the BBC demonstrate a wealth of broadcast experience in TV (BBC Young Musician), events (BBC Proms) and Radio (Radio 3, 4 and World Service)

As producer of In Tune, Late Junction, Through the Night, CD Review, Breakfast, Station Sound and specials, Freya has a deep understanding of the variety of programming on Radio 3 and the station’s unique relationship with its listeners. From artist led sessions to complex outside broadcasts in front of an audience to crafted features, Freya has worked both individually and as part of a large team to produce innovative and creative programmes.

Freya’s most recent role was the specially created post of Head of Content at the classical music site www.sinfinimusic.com (part of Universal Music Group). With overall responsibility for all editorial output, Freya led the in house content team as well as commissioning content from a large pool of freelancers working across all formats. Freya oversaw a 33% increase in unique browsers within 7 months of her arrival. With an international audience, predominantly under 45, Freya has experience of presenting specialist music to a younger, digitally native demographic and uses social media, digital marketing and data analysis to extend content reach.

Freya holds a first class degree in music from the University of Glasgow. She was a founder member of Instal, a classical club night at the Arches in Glasgow. She has been published in Contemporary Music Review.
